Infrastructure that stands its ground.
Vorthal Tech keeps the systems your business runs on fast, secure, and standing — from the network edge to the database core.
One partner for the whole stack.
From the cables and firewalls to the cloud, the databases, and the software on top — Vorthal designs, builds, and keeps it running.
Cloud & Infrastructure
Virtualisation, hosting and storage built to take load and stay up — with capacity you can actually plan around.
Networks & Security
Firewalls, segmentation, VPN and Zero Trust access set up properly — so the right people get in and nothing else does.
Microsoft 365 & Identity
Mailboxes, licensing, mail security and identity done right — migrations that land clean and tenants that stay compliant.
Databases & Data
SQL Server administration, performance tuning, data integrity and reporting — the boring discipline that keeps records true.
Software & SaaS
Web apps, internal tools and automation built on a modern serverless edge — practical software that removes manual work.
Advisory & Architecture
Solutions architecture, SLAs and IT strategy for growing teams — a clear plan before anyone touches a server.
A plan before anyone touches a server.
No mystery, no lock-in. A clear, repeatable path from "something's not right" to "it's handled and documented."
Understand the ground
We map what you actually have — network, servers, cloud, identity, data — and find the real risks and bottlenecks.
Design the fix
A clear plan with options, costs and trade-offs. You sign off before any change touches production.
Build it properly
Changes done in safe windows, tested, with rollback ready. Done once, done right, and written down.
Keep it standing
Monitoring, patching, backups and a real person on call — on a retainer or SLA that fits how you run.
Built to stay standing.
The name is the promise. Vorthal stands watch over the systems your business depends on — and treats uptime like it's personal.
One partner, the whole stack
Network, cloud, identity, data and software under one roof. No finger-pointing between vendors when something breaks.
Built like it has to stay up
Real production experience, not slideware. Things are designed to survive load, failure and the 2am phone call.
You reach a person, not a queue
Direct, senior attention from someone who knows your environment — not a ticket bouncing between juniors.
Problems solved, not slides shown.
A few real engagements — the situation, what we did, and what changed. Client names withheld for privacy.
A virtualisation host running out of room
A busy host carrying ~19 VMs was tight on memory and headed for new-hardware spend. We re-tuned allocation and dynamic memory across the estate.
Significant RAM reclaimed — no new hardware neededSecure data exchange with an outside party
An organisation needed safe, audited file transfer to an external partner through layered firewalls. We designed the NAT, rules and IPsec path end to end.
Locked-down SFTP + IPsec link, live and documentedManual finance work eating hours
Bank reconciliation was slow and manual. We built a multi-tenant web app on a serverless edge stack with secure logins and per-client separation.
Repetitive reconciliation moved into software// replace with named case studies & client logos once you have sign-off — that's the single biggest trust lift
The things people ask first.
Do you work on a retainer or once-off?
Both. Some clients keep a monthly retainer or SLA for ongoing support and a set block of hours; others bring us in for a specific project — a migration, a firewall rebuild, a new environment. We'll suggest whichever fits how you run.
Are you remote, or do you come on-site?
Most work is done securely and remotely, which keeps things fast. For anything physical — hardware, cabling, a data-centre visit — we're based in Johannesburg and cover Gauteng on-site, with arrangements for further afield.
How quickly do you respond when something breaks?
Response targets are set in your SLA so they're clear and committed, not vague. Critical, business-down issues are prioritised — and you reach a person who already knows your environment, not a queue.
Who owns the systems and accounts you set up?
You do — always. Domains, cloud tenants, licences and accounts are registered to your business. Everything is documented and handed over, so you're never locked in or held hostage by a vendor.
Can you take over an environment someone else set up?
Yes. A lot of our work starts as a takeover. We assess what's there, document it, fix what's fragile, and bring it up to a standard you can rely on — without ripping everything out unnecessarily.
